One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) programme, a Public Distribution System (PDS) portability scheme that will enable people to get food grains as per eligibility according to NFSA), 2013 irrespective of their location in the country.
One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) programme was launched by Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi on 30th June 2020.
Allows all NFSA beneficiaries, particularly migrant beneficiaries, to claim either full or part food grains from any Fair Price Shop (FPS), which is ePOS enabled, in the country through existing ration card in a seamless manner .
Their family members back home, if any, can also claim the balance food grains on same ration card.
IM-PDS scheme provides the technological platform for national level portability and de-duplication of Ration Cards for successful implementation of ONORC.
